Lack of Warnings Lead To Johnson & Johnson Baby Powder Class Actions

On Behalf of | Jun 11, 2014 | Personal Injury

Class action lawsuits are being filed against Johnson & Johnson alleging that its baby powder products greatly increase the risk of ovarian cancer in women. Studies have shown that talcum powder (a part of baby powder) increases the risk of ovarian cancer for women who use it on the genital area. The allegations show that the Johnson & Johnson Company has failed to disclose to the public the risk of ovarian cancer from its baby powder products. In fact, Johnson & Johnson has known of these severe risks since 1982 based on studies showing women have a higher risk of ovarian cancer when using talcum powder on the genital areas. The Law Firm of Beasley Allen has done a great job by raising awareness of this matter to the community. This past month they have filed consumer class actions in California and Missouri against Johnson & Johnson. The Law Office of Williams DeClark Tuschman would like to join the fight. We feel that consumers have a right to know of all risks involved when using a companies product.
