WARNING! Faulty Takata Airbags Remain on US Roads
In the final quarter of 2014, personal injury attorney Chad Tuschman did a blog entry on the extreme dangers of airbags manufactured by the Japanese company, Takata. The airbags have been recalled for a very serious defect that can have dangerous and deadly consequences on its users. Due to over inflation, the Japanese made airbags can explode on collision spraying deadly shrapnel and other metal debris into the passenger cabin. Six deaths have been linked to the exploding airbags.
Millions of vehicles carrying the potentially fatal Takata airbag have been recalled. However, millions of these vehicles remain on U.S. roads because of the manufacturer’s lack of ability to make necessary repairs in a timely fashion. A Carfax report, released January 26th of 2015, stated there are 46 million vehicles on U.S. roads that were part of the auto recall but have yet to be fixed. This equals to an astonishing one fifth of all U.S vehicles.
