Recall’s continue to plague GM Motor Company. Earlier this week the automaker announced it was recalling an additional 3 million vehicles for ignition problems that are similar to the original massive recall earlier this year that is linked to to 13 deaths. The issue with the models, which range from 2000 – 2014, is the ignition switch may unexpectedly move out of the “run” position if the key is carrying too much weight and experiences a harsh hit such as hitting a pothole. GM internal investigations have found the swithces found in the cars were approved but did not meet GM specifications. The latest vehicle recall includes:
- 2005 – 2009 Buick Lacrosse
- 2006 – 2014 Chevrolet Impala
- 2000 – 2005 Cadillac Deville
- 2004 – 2011 Cadillac DTS
- 2004 – 2001 Buick Lucerne
- 2004 – 2005 Buick Regal LS and GS
- 2006 – 2008 Chevy Monte Carlo
