A seven-year-old child developed toxic epidermal necrolysis as a result of using Johnson & Johnson’s Children’s Motrin. The toxic epidermal necrolysis led to the loss of 95% of the top layer of her skin, heart failure, a stroke, and an aneurysm. Samantha Reckis and her parents brought suit for failure to warn of these side effects. A jury verdict was rendered in the amount of $63 million plus interest, totaling $140 million. The U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear Johnson & Johnson’s appeal of the judgment. If you or a loved one has suffered injuries as a result of using medication, we can help.
